Droid is an assistant that runs on your Mac. This is what it does with your data. Updated 3 November 2026.

Google data

If you connect Gmail, Google Calendar or Google Drive, Droid reads them only to help you: to answer what you ask, to remember what matters to you (people, plans, bookings) and to suggest things you might want done.

What it learns is kept on your Mac. To understand an email or an event, Droid sends that text to Claude (Anthropic), the model it thinks with; Anthropic doesn’t use it to train its models. With Droid Pro, those requests pass through our server on the way without being kept.

Droid's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We never sell your data, never use it for ads, and never use it to train AI models. People never read it, unless you ask us to for support or the law requires it.

Your choice

Disconnect any Google account in Droid › Settings › Connectors, or at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Settings › Memory › Delete all memory erases everything Droid has learned about you.
